Trent Woods Garden club is pleased to announce our two $1,000. Sharon D Quill Memorial scholarship winners for 2021.
Cassidy Van Weganen (pictured above with Kathy Perretta) of Havelock is the daughter of Adam and Jessica Van Weganen. Cassidy is a 2021 graduate of Havelock High School. Cassidy will be matriculated this fall at University of Texas studying Agriculture Science with the intention to teach in the future.
The second winner is Jodee Grace Horne. Congratulations Jodee you have shown a true commitment to excellence and scholarship. TWGC could not be more pleased to award you the Sharon D Quill Scholarship for the third time in a row!

2020 Trent Woods Garden Club Sharon D. Quill Scholarship
Jodie will be matriculating as a sophomore at NC State. Jody was also a 2019 Sharon D. Quill winner. Everyone at TWGC could not be happier to have Jody as a two time winner! Congratulations Jodie and many thanks to Raye Lynn Longhini and her committee.
Each spring Trent Woods Garden Club awards a $1000 Sharon D. Quill Memorial Scholarship to a graduating high school senior or student attending two- or four-year college programs. Applicants must be residents of Craven County, in good academic standing, with plans to major in Agriculture, Forestry, Plant Biology, Environmental Studies, Landscape Design, Horticulture, or a related field.
